How to get started:

Create a PayPal account at www.paypal.com

a.    Click on Sign Up

b.    Select either a personal or business PayPal account

c.    Complete the required information and create your account

d.    Your PayPal account identifier will be the email address you used when completing the PayPal sign up process

e.    Once you have successfully created your PayPal account you will need to verify the account

Verify your PayPal account

a.    You must verify your PayPal account with PayPal before linking your profile on your bank’s online banking

b.    You will need a cheque card or credit card to verify your PayPal account (debit cards excluded)

c.    Log onto your PayPal account and click on Get Verified

d.    When you enter your cheque or credit card details, these will link to your PayPal account

e.    Once you have linked your card, complete the verification process

f.     PayPal will debit a small amount from your account

g.    In the bank statement reference for this transaction there will be a four digit security code that you will need to enter on your PayPal account in order to complete the verification process

h.    The code may take up to 5 days to reflect or you can contact your bank’s card division to get this code

Link your PayPal account to your Bank’s online banking profile

a.    Once your PayPal account has been verified you link your profile by clicking Link PayPal Profile

b.    During this linking process you will be asked to confirm the contact information your bank have for you.

c.    You will need to enter your Primary PayPal email address. This is the email address you use to login to access your PayPal account.

d.    You will be asked to accept the terms and conditions for this service.

e.    During the linking process you will be redirected to PayPal in order to log onto your PayPal account. To do so you will need your primary PayPal email address and your PayPal password.
